First it is just an idea, then I sketch it onto a piece of paper or sometimes I do it in photoshop. Then I start looking for a 3d car model then I start to add bits and customize the parts the way I like. Once all that is done all that’s left is rendering the image.

My motto says never quit, and if you keep working towards it, it might not happen right away, but it will happen at some point. If you work hard, you are able to achieve great things, and that is what it's all about. When racing in America I always have to apply my moto “Never Quit”.

No, as my wife puts it, “racing is kind of my professional hobby.” I do financial planning for a living, so I do investment management, insurance management, that’s my career.

This Chevelle is steeped in family history. It began life with Matt's grandparents, who bought it brand new in 1969 for just over $3,300.

The new form of this 1970 Roadrunner would be as what Shawn refers to it as the “World's most affordable Plymouth Superbird.” The whole mantra of this build and for Shawn, in general, is “fast and cheap”.
