Ford enthusiasts and car lovers often overlook the 1971-1973 Mustangs. Many people can’t get past the Mile Long Mustang look and the gigantic body shape compared to the late 60s Mustangs. Interestingly when Kevin Clarke thinks of a gasser it has a little more class but still all the trash because it is a 1968 Mercedes 250s. It may be hard to imagine anything other than an older sophisticated gentleman with a pressed suit and a gray curly mustache driving this car but I don’t think old men are laying patches of smoldering rubber with their Mercedes.

The first steps toward this build took place years before James Jr could even take his first steps. These desires are just hardwired into car people; it really has nothing to do with what other people have and everything to do with one upping yourself and hitting that next goal.

I wanted to push myself and try something I had no experience with or knowledge of. During those days I would spend countless hours scrolling through various car pages, and this made me think, why don’t I start my own car page. I have always had a deep passion for cars and talking to others about their cars. I spent days thinking if I would grow, if it were a waste of time, how does running a page even work.

The original shell of the car was a 1969 Mustang Fastback that began to quickly pull cues from the P-51 Mustang fighter plane that was introduced in the 1940’s. Hence the build being known as the AM P-51 tribute.

I try to be a very real person; I try to stay as genuine as possible and really just love life. I’m happy for every experience life brings me and try to maintain a positive outlook. I want to make others feel welcomed around me and empowered. I want to motivate people to be the best versions of themselves and show people that they can achieve anything they set their minds too.
